This course provides students with systematic knowledge about Computer Networks. Students will start with basic concepts of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model as well as local and internetworking before moving on to advanced topics of TCP/IP, DNS (Domain Name System), LAN (Local Area Network), ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network), etc. Laboratory sessions also go hand-in-hand with the lectures to help develop students’ practical skills in the handling and managing of network equipment and related IT tools.
